Artist Added, AI Art Revised

Necroboy3D Art & Comics – Paid 3D artist specializing in peril, morgue, mortuary and funeral themed art and comics.

The other day I posted my first official AI-enhanced piece of 3D art called By the Numbers. I’ve updated it with a revised version that includes a foot shot. It’s on the Single Page section of my Comics gallery.

New 3D and AI Art

There’s a relatively new type of art medium that’s made quite a bit of noise in the art world during the last couple of years. It’s called AI art and, at present, there are about 30 different apps available for creating it.

I first learned about the technology in March 2023 and shunned it hard for artistic and ethical reasons. I spent the rest of the year learning more about it.

Despite the adverse impact AI has had on creative industries, professional artists have found ways to incorporate it into their workflows and continue making a living. Hobbyists told me the ethical debate surrounding its process of scraping the web for datasets is a separate issue for them. As fellow hobbyists, they just want to have fun and test its limits, whether enhancing their original work or creating new images.

As a digital artist, I’m both fascinated by its creative possibilities and terrified by its potential for swaying public opinion on political and cultural matters. Last month, I reluctantly added it to my workflow after successfully using it to enhance a 3D art project I completed last month. As much as I love and prefer working in 3D, rendering engines are simply incapable of producing photorealistic images at the level of fidelity that AI can. It’s the closest fetishists like me will ever get to working with real models.

With that in mind, any 3D art I enhance with AI will be clearly marked.

The project referenced above is my final take on Bob’s death from John Carpenter’s Halloween, my single favorite kill in the entire franchise. It’s called By the Numbers and is on the Single Page section of my Comics gallery.

A couple months ago I created a 3D version of a botched custom video commissioned by someone through Crime House Studios in 2018. It’s called Offed Nurse and is now on the Multi Page section of my Comics gallery.

New Menu Item: Nyght’s Art

I have a personal website at nyghtfall3d.com. I’ve been using it as the central hub for my 3D art. Now that Cinemagore has proven successful, I’ve moved all of my fetish-themed work here and re-purposed my personal site as a mainstream portfolio. You’ll find my work under the new menu option, Nyght’s Art. I hope you’ll enjoy it.

I’ve also removed my personal site from the Artists page, and updated the Site Info section to expand on my history as a 3D artist. It’s on the renamed Me, My Art, & Cinemagore page.

Form Submission Errors

Someone recently informed me that the site has been returning a form submission error when trying to submit a link request. The problem has been resolved. My apologies for any inconvenience this has caused others.

Artist Removed

The link to The Lance Saga has been removed from the Artists page per the artist’s request – he closed the site.

Update on Gumroad’s NSFW Ban

Gumroad updated their Help section with info on their new NSFW ban. As of March 21, 2024 the following sexually explicit content is prohibited (copy/pasted from the article):

What is sexually explicit?

Sexually explicit content is media that is created for the primary purpose of sexual gratification – fetish content, media with characters depicted in sexual situations, or content that is clearly produced for titillation. If your products can be understood as being primarily for sexual purposes, then they are not eligible to be sold on Gumroad.

To be clear, this includes all types of media: photography, videos, animations, illustrations, written media, audiobooks, and audio products. This can include but is not limited to products that feature…

  • 3D models or assets built for explicitly sexual purposes
  • Animated pornographic videos or animated nudity or characters portrayed in sexual situations
  • Fetish-driven content where the purpose of the product is the sexual gratification of the customer
  • Financial domination content
  • Sketches/artwork where the content’s focus is sexual gratification
  • Videos with lingerie or nudity where
  • Audio-erotica or role-play audio
  • Adult comics with nudity or sexual acts
  • Cosplay/boudoir/lewd photography that’s focused on sexually explicit poses or activity
  • Sexual coaching services or explicit instructional content that is meant for gratification purposes rather than educational
  • VR Chat avatars displayed in compromising or sexual positions, or avatars that advertise NSFW uses or modifications like, for example, “breast expansions” where the purpose of such a modification is understood to be solely for titillation or part of an overall sexually explicit character.

Producer Added

Tough Fights – Fighting in a ring and elsewhere. Includes catfights and mixed fights, both male and female domination, often with fatal endings. I’m told the female models possess especially impressive stunt fighting skills.

Gumroad Banning NSFW Art

In case anyone was starting to wonder if Black Nylons’ situation was a faux “store closing” alarm to generate sales, this was posted on TechCrunch two days ago. I just learned about the article…

As I wrote on March 6, Grindhouse North and Crime House/ Dark Rooms already lost their stores, so the threat to content made for our community is definitely real. With that in mind, both Black Nylons and Rue Morgue stores are still active, for now. Meanwhile, I’ve removed Gumroad from the Distributors page.
